This is a list of suspected bittorrent related or copyright trolling lawsuits filed during the past week. I have not verified each suit nor necessarily looked at each complaint. Named defendants have been replaced with “individual” in respect of privacy. This list is not promised to be inclusive, nor should it be relied on or considered accurate.

What is important about this list (and I will be writing it up in a similar fashion and I suggest SJD & DTD do as well) are the names of the baby copyright trolls. With the exception of AF Holdings, LLC (Steele) and Malibu Media, LLC (Lipscomb), these are copycat trolls who are looking to make a few bucks off of what the older and more experienced copyright trolls have fought in the courtroom. I am quite frankly insulted by seeing so many new names as the DMCA copyright laws give remedies to the copyright holders, and that is to have the websites TAKE DOWN the infringing materials, not to allow the infringement to continue and to sue the downloaders. I will personally take each one of these companies down.

Perhaps Mr. C has more specific knowledge here. Is it sure that these local counsel are “baby trolls” and not part of some new (or even existing) gang? Sometimes it takes a while to get the full scope of nasty activity.
Both R &D Films 1 and Bait Productions Pty. Ltd. have more than one troll plaintiff lawyer in more than one state.
Sadly, most local lawyers filing cases in the past couple of years have been the symptom of a larger group of malefactors (overlord lawyers, porn studios, borderline forensic software hacks, etc.). It’s right to decry the expanding extortionist gold-rush which is misusing the justice system.

Already there are five more suits in Tennessee East District for 200 does. Three new troll companies, from what I know.
Sojo Prod., Tesuco Holdings LTD, Safety Point Prod, and Dimentional Dead Prod.

Yep, Tesuco Holdings Limited Vs. John Does 1-12. Held up for now by a motion to quash the release of info from ISP. Fightin the good fight.
